BeesForLifeAsso projects: Fight against the Asian hornet
Quimper 20 to 23 October 2022

BeesForLife will be taking part for the first time in the BEECOME European Beekeeping Congress in Quimper from 20 to 23 October 2022. An opportunity for BeesForLife to present its projects to protect bees and combat the Asian hornet.

European Beekeeping Congress BEECOME
This event is a unique opportunity for beekeepers and scientists alike to share the latest innovations and research work in an attempt to address the major concerns and issues facing beekeeping today.
Numerous conferences will be given by world-renowned researchers.
Between 6,000 and 8,000 visitors and conference-goers are expected over the 4 days. The exhibition area is free and open to the public.
After the 1st edition in Agen in 2012, followed by editions in Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Austria and Romania, the Beecome European Beekeeping Congress returns to Quimper from 20 to 23 October 2022.
It is once again being organised by UNAF, and for Quimper 2022 in collaboration with the syndicat de l'Abeille Finistérienne.

L'Abeille Olivetaine

L'Abeille Olivetaine is an association of hobby beekeepers, bringing together over 100 beekeepers representing an experimental area with over 700 hives. L'Abeille Olivetaine is also very active in terms of bee protection and the implementation of good practice through training sessions for schoolchildren and learning support for the general public. Thanks to the town of Olivet (Loiret) and the commitment of the association's volunteers, L'Abeille Olivetaine will be able to complete its apiary school in spring 2022 with the help of the new Maison Des Abeilles d'Olivet.

AIRD'ECO-Drone

A new technology company in the field of drones and on-board geophysics. More specifically, AIRD'ECO-Drone has developed expertise in microtopography and its modelling based on airborne LiDAR prospecting. Aird'Eco brings all its skills and technological know-how to contribute to the progress of these projects.

LWConsulting BeesForLife

Manages and pilots the Asian hornet nest management and reporting platform. LWConsulting BeesForLife has developed skills in process control and project management. SA 8000 (Social Accountability) auditor. LWConsulting made a major contribution to the development of the reference framework for the Remote Pilot Certificate listed in the RNCP inventory sponsored by the DGAC (Civil Aviation). The FPDC (Fédération Professionnelle des Drones Civils) called on LWconsulting to carry out audits of the telepilot training centres that are required to issue the FPDC Telepilot Certificate. The LWconsulting BeesForLIfe structure makes it possible to support the various study projects that BeesForLife undertakes with, for example, the University of Bordeaux or the ESTIA engineering school (Bidart) in the Atlantic Pyrenees.

The Nouvelle Aquitaine region has recognised the quality of BeesForLife 's projects by providing financial support in the form of an equipment grant.
