44th FNOSAD Congress: BeesForLife present with its tool for reporting Asian hornet nests

The FNSAD: Fédération Nationale des Organisations Sanitaires Apicoles Départementales (National Federation of Departmental Beekeeping Health Organisations) is holding its 44th Congress in Périgueux.

  1. The Congress, which is being held in the Dordogne this year, will give us an opportunity to meet visitors who are concerned by the pest, known in Latin as VESPA VELUTINA NIGRITHORAX and better known as the Asian hornet.

BeesForLife is making its contribution to the department by signing an agreement with APIDOR to use its platform. APIDOR and its members are working with the departmental council and local authorities to protect bees and other insects as a whole, by being one of the organisers of the fight against the Asian hornet.

On the stand you can :

  • Be or become a local authority taking part in this superb programme run by APIDOR and the Department to protect insects and bees
  • Help protect insects and bees by finding out how to report a nest of Asian hornets
  • register on site as a beekeeper and swarm gatherer (free of charge)
  • Become a validated insect eradicator on the BeesForLife/communes de Dordogne platform, dedicated to the department and by commune.

We can also explain what other projects BeesForLife is developing on the same theme:

  • Diagnosis of the presence of nests via drone and artificial intelligence
  • Chemical-free nest destruction

We look forward to meeting you at the Congress
