Report a hornet nest

There are 5 stages to reporting:

  1. Description of the nest: photos, dimensions, location, etc.
  2. Geographical location of the nest: geolocation on a map
  3. The contact details of the notifier
  4. Options, recommended to speed up the intervention and its follow-up:
    • receipt of offers from insect killers to destroy the nest (1)
    • create an account on the platform (2)
  5. Confirmation of the information entered and acceptance of data processing

(1) Bees For Life lists insect control service providers by annual subscription. As soon as service providers are listed in your geographical area, Bees For Life can anonymously pass on your report to them. If these insect killers are interested in destroying the nest, they will make you one or two "standardised" intervention offers. By choosing one of these offers, your details will be passed on to the associated insect killer so that he can finalise his intervention with you. The platform does not take any commission on the rates offered by the nest destruction service provider.

(2) By creating an account on our platform, you will be able to monitor the processing of your report.

If your local authority has subscribed to the Bess For Life platform, please report the nest directly via your local authority's website.

This Bees For Life platform also gives you access to documentary resources on bees and biodiversity, as well as on the destruction of hornets' nests.

Your report will also be used to compile statistics.

Contact Bees For Life if you have any questions.
